ko te manaaki i ngā kaihākinakina | caring for New Zealand's sports community

Have you ever heard someone introduce themselves by the sport that they play? It is a pretty strong indicator of someone who takes their sport seriously.

Sports Chaplaincy focuses on sports people who take their sport seriously. We work with people who are active sports people and those that are no longer at the peak of their careers. The recipients of pastoral care and mentoring are the athletes and all those who support the athletes whether coaches, officials, federation officials, medical staff, management staff and of course their families. We begin with those in their teens right through to the veterans of sport. Although approaches and services vary we serve the span of local teenage club or school team through to the high profile and elite athletes.
